The Destination
Rising out of the Thar like a mirage of honey-gold sandstone, Jaisalmer is a living fort city — havelis carved with impossible detail, bazaars that hum with colour, and dunes that stretch to the horizon in every direction. It's a place that looks exactly like the postcards, and then surprises you anyway.
This journey isn't just about ticking off a fort and a desert camp — it's about who you share the sunset jeep ride with, who you're dancing next to at the bonfire, and who you're still messaging months later. Over three unforgettable days, we'll wander the winding lanes of the old city, chase the sun across the Sam dunes, and sit with the eerie quiet of a village abandoned two centuries ago.

The Journey
From the sandstone walls of Jaisalmer Fort to the silence of a village frozen in time — every hour has been thoughtfully planned.
Depart Ahmedabad Thursday night — first conversations start before Day One even begins. A quick freshen-up stop en route, with breakfast included.
Reach the hotel in Jaisalmer city by 11:30 AM, check in and settle in. Lunch at a handpicked, enchanting restaurant (included).
Set out to explore the winding lanes of Jaisalmer, ending the day watching the sun melt into the sandstone walls of Jaisalmer Fort — grab a seat at a café or restaurant inside the fort for a golden, lit-up view of the city at night.
Back at the hotel, everyone piles into one room for the first proper hangout — games, gossip, getting-to-know-you stories.
Breakfast, then checkout from the hotel. Visit the Tanot Mata Temple, followed by the Longewala Yudh Sthal — history and valour that'll give you goosebumps.
Reach the desert camp and get some downtime before the real adventure kicks in. By 4:30 PM, gather for a jeep safari into the dunes, chasing sunset over the Thar.
Evening Hi-Tea & snacks (included), followed by a Rajasthani cultural program — folk music, dance, and a bonfire that pulls everyone in. Dinner (included) under the open sky — no rush to sleep, the night's still young.
Breakfast (included) to start the day right. Visit Kuldhara Village — the centuries-old abandoned village wrapped in legend and mystery.
Lunch break (included), before we move on to Bada Bagh — royal cenotaphs set against a golden, open landscape.
Free time to explore Jaisalmer city — shop for textiles, silver jewellery and souvenirs. By 5:00 PM at the latest, we start the journey back towards Ahmedabad, reaching by Monday morning.

Jaisalmer: Beyond the Dunes has a fixed weekly departure — every Thursday night, ex. Ahmedabad, returning to Ahmedabad by Monday morning. Seats are allocated first-come, first-served — we recommend booking a few weeks ahead of your preferred date. Reach out to your trip captain to confirm the next available Thursday departure.
Jaisalmer: Beyond the Dunes departs from Ahmedabad. Guests joining from Mumbai travel to Ahmedabad by train, and are picked up and dropped back at the station by our team — purely for a seamless, worry-free connection to the group. Train tickets are charged separately, as per prevailing Indian Railways fares, and are not included in the package price.
Departure (onward journey): Take a train from Mumbai that reaches Ahmedabad by 10:00 PM on Thursday, in time to join the group for our Thursday night departure to Jaisalmer.
Return journey: The group begins the journey back on Sunday and reaches Ahmedabad by Monday morning. Mumbai guests are dropped at the Ahmedabad station to board their return train home.
